THODI ’s business model integrates job creation opportunities for women and young people through partnerships and strategic alliances for skills transfer and development as the principal part of its strategy for key growth areas such as expansion into SADC and other NEPAD related opportunities in infrastructure development.
To date, Thodi has two current projects in two provinces, Limpopo and Gauteng; for the construction of a total of 200 housing units with more expected. The workforce is strictly dependent on the work load per phase.
Gavaza Kubayi:
Studied economics with the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) USA. Upon her return to South Africa, she joined the marketing team at Eastern Hydraulics, a manufacturing and engineering company operating from Boksburg, for four years where she gained first hand marketing and client services experience. She left Eastern Hydraulics to establish Thodi Business Enterprise.
